ROSELAND PENINSULA

The Roseland Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty and a much sought after residential area.  Tregony is often called the Gateway to the Roseland and is a flourishing local community.  There is a Village Store, Post Office, Gallery, Pub, primary and secondary schools and local churches.  It has an exceptionally wide main street, a relic from the days when this was a busy port on the river Fal.  A good website for information on the Roseland is http://www.cornwalls.co.uk/Roseland/

ST. MAWES

This historic fishing village with a quaint harbour in the shadow of St. Mawes Castle is now very popular with those who sail for leisure.  It has many fine restaurants and waterside cafes.  There is a passenger ferry service to Falmouth and the King Harry vehicle ferry runs regularly all year round to Trelissick, near Truro.
